SPPU: Pune University Releases Circular, ‘No Fees Hike in Academic Year 2022-23- Says Mahesh Kakde
Pune, 14th October 2022: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) recently released a circular regarding fee hikes in some courses. After various students union protested against varsity due to fee hikes in university courses. Now, University gives a clear explanation about it.


Accordingly to the letter issued by Pune University on October 14 regarding the examination fees & other fees. “The university has not increased the examination fees and other fees in both the academic year 2020 21 and 2021 22 due to the covid pandemic. The University Official Committee, taking a decision regarding this, has not increased the examination fee and other fees in all the courses of the first and second semesters in the academic year 2022-23,” Says Board Examination & Evaluation Director Dr. Mahesh Kakde.


Earlier, the Pune University Department had increased the fees for its courses like Management, Mathematics, Commerce, and Electronics Science by 50%. In view of this decision, the students were agitated at the university for 3 consecutive days.
